National History Day is a yearlong history program for middle and high school kids across the country and around the world. It culminates each June with a national contest at the University of Maryland, attended by 3,000 finalists. Students who participate say it literally changes their lives.

But the program is complicated and hard to explain—which makes it a challenge to persuade prospective donors to contribute. This brochure was created to explain the program, encourage teachers and kids to participate, and most important—make a strong case to inspire giving.
